Having A Go Photography

Quite a few years ago, I started having a go at photography, and was using my husbands’ old Canon SLR camera. We both began to lose interest and ended up stopping.

Since now I’m beginning to feel better after my heart infection and fancy doing something different than jewellery at moment, I have treated myself to a Canon SLR, 800D model. Ok, so it’s on the lower scale of amazing-ness, but for a starter, it’s perfect for me.

I used to do everything in automatic, however, to challenge myself, I’ve made a start on learning manual. Trying to get my head around aperature, ISO, shutter speed…this must be more to give you less of this, you need this to do this, wow, so much to learn.

The main reason of me getting into this was I saw an advert for the Leeds Castle fireworks in Kent next month, we went to it about 9 years ago and it was amazing. SO as a treat, we have booked our tickets, a Travelodge so I don’t have to drive there and back all in one day and equipped with my new camera, the only thing I have to get is a tripod!!!

I’m really excited to be showing my photos with you all, and I really appreciate any and all feedback! The only problem is, I bought the camera last weekend and nearly everyday it’s been raining…fingers crossed for a clearer weekend!!!
